Acadia

    Acadia was formed in 1960. The entirety of its borders are as follows: east, Blackfoot Trail; west, Macleod Trail; south, Southland Drive; north, Heritage Drive. Popular shopping and recreation is located along the community’s main street, Fairmount Drive. 10,705 people make up Acadia and they live in 2,417 single-family homes, as well as some condos and townhomes.

    Transit
    Route 39 serves Acadia, with stations on Southland Rive and Heritage Drive. A CTrain also runs through the area and Park & Ride locations are available as well.

    Parks & Recreation
    Acadia Athletic Park, Bonaventure Park and Arlington Park are all set within the community. Only Bonaventure offers anything other than green space, that being a tennis court.

    Acadia has many shopping centers: Bower L. Enterprises Shopping Centre, Newport Village Shopping Centre and Acadia Shopping Centre.

    Acadia has many places in which to worship including Lighthouse Church, Christ Moravian Church, McDougal United Church, Trinity BAptist Church, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Solid Rock Baptist Church, Jehovah’s Witnesses Soberania, and St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church.
