Canyon Meadows is a beautiful community in Calgary, established in 1963. Home prices range from three hundred to six hundred thousand dollars approximately, so many people can break into the area. Also, the community is large but not too large with a population of 7,787 in 2012 living in 3,191 residences. Anderson Road creates the northern boundary of the community, while Elbow Drive creates its western, Macleod Trail its eastern and Canyon Meadows Drive its southern.
The Canyon Meadows station is convenient of course for residents of this community who want to use the CTrain. But bus route 35 is also available with a terminal in the community. Most communities in Calgary don’t have such convenience when it comes to public transportation.
Parks & Recreation
Homeowners who love golf love Canyon Meadows, as it has its own golf course, The Canyon Meadows Golf Course. It’s exclusive, which means only certain applicants are selected. For those who like to do something different than golf, however, the Fish Creek Provincial Park — one of the best parks in all of Calgary — is not far away. Visitors can go swimming, bird watching, biking, hiking, walking, view the Artisan Gardens, try a treat at Annie’s Bakery, eat at the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant, stare at wildlife at the Sikome Aquatic Facility, as well as explore the Visitor Centre. Looking for shopping? Canyon Meadows doesn’t disappoint in this respect either due to its close proximity to the large Southcentre Mall.
St. Catherine Elementary, Robert Warren Junior High, Dr. E.P. Scarlett Senior High, and Canyon Meadows Elementary are the schools that serve residents of Canyon Meadows.
Houses of Worship
